Hi Connor,
Yesterday our class visited Heartland Farm
Sanctuary. It was brilliant! The owner, Dana
Barre, opened the sanctuary in 2010 to help
homeless farm animals. 60 animals live there:
hen
rooster cows, turkeys, roosters, hens, ducks and even
llamas! I’ve got a great selfie of me with a llama.
We played with the animals and helped the
staff feed them. There were a lot of other kids
at the sanctuary, too. Dana invites students
from schools all over the area to help look after
the animals. We learned a lot about how to
take care of animals. I just loved it there.
